Two separate TikTok connections

Content Posting API uses TikTok Login Kit to let a creator upload a video to TikTok for further editing or approve an exact Direct Post to that creator's profile. TikTok API for Business is a separate authorization used only after TikTok approves the requested Business Account publishing, comment-management and Business Messaging capabilities. Credentials and tokens for the two products are not reused.

How publishing works

  1. The account owner opens TikTok's authorization page and reviews the requested permissions.
  2. The service stores the resulting authorization token encrypted on a private operator-controlled server.
  3. The creator or designated operator supplies original media and a caption. For Direct Post, the workspace queries the account's current posting choices and shows the exact privacy, interaction and disclosure settings.
  4. Upload begins only after the required music or branded-content confirmation and exact-post consent. One-time approval and status checks prevent blind duplicate submissions.
  5. An Inbox upload is completed by the creator inside TikTok; Direct Post is submitted to the profile only when TikTok has granted that capability.

How customer care works

After separate Business Messaging approval and Business Account authorization, TikTok can notify the service of an inbound message. The service verifies TikTok's signature and forwards the message to one allowlisted Telegram operator chat. A designated operator reviews it and may send a reply to the same existing conversation. The service does not initiate cold conversations or automatically compose or send replies. Owned-post comment events may likewise be surfaced for human review and reply.

Requested permissions

user.info.basic identifies the connected TikTok account. video.upload sends creator-editable uploads to TikTok. video.publish enables an explicitly approved Direct Post or, under the separately reviewed Business API, an owned-account post. comment.list and comment.list.manage support owned-post comment review and approved replies. message.list.read and message.list.send support existing Business Messaging conversations. The service enables a capability only after TikTok grants the corresponding product access and scope.

Arcway Operations never asks account owners to share their TikTok password. Authentication and permission consent happen on TikTok. Business Messaging and production Direct Post remain unavailable unless TikTok approves and grants the relevant access.
